Looking for Your First Motorcycle
Your first bike should be moderately priced, probably secondhand. If
you buy one that’s one to three years old and keep it in excellent
condition, you can sell it in a year or two, usually for just a few hundred
dollars less than what you paid.
If you do buy new, consider buying in winter, when dealers want to
clear out last year’s stock. Prices may be non-negotiable, particularly
on popular models. And finally, whether you buy new or used, remember
to buy—and wear—a new helmet.
