Is It Time to Move or Improve?

Some of the reasons for moving and improving are the same:

• you need more space
• you need new appliances and major repairs
• your kids have moved out

Moving may be the best solution if:

• you want amenities that would price your current home out of your neighborhood’s market
• you want a climate or lifestyle change
• there’s a strong home sales market with great interest rates

Improving may be the best solution if:

• you like where you currently live
• you know you’ll get a good return on the improvements when you ultimately do sell
• the moving process seems overwhelming—deciding what to get rid of and what to keep, packing and then unpacking, and rearranging belongings in the new space.
