College Assistance for ServiceAll military branchesThe Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard have college tuition assistance programs. Combined with the Montgomery G.I Bill, which provides incentives for serving, college costs can be covered. ROTCReserve Officers’ Training Corps scholarships are available at many colleges and universities. Students must meet academic and physical requirements and agree to serve after graduation. Check your college choices to learn if they offer ROTC programs for all or any branches. The ReservesStudents can join the Reserves, drill on a part-time basis and attend college with the same financial assistance as enlisting full-time. Americorps National Civilian Community CorpsAmeriCorps offers tuition money for volunteer service. Other volunteer possibilities include Volunteers in Service to America and the President’s Student Service Scholarship. |
